Crafty Cake Stands

My cake stand problems have been fixed!! I've been looking for quite some time for a white, square porcelain cake stand. The largest I have found: 12 inches. No where near big enough for my cake. While investigating one last time on the internet, I uncovered some crafty cake stands I just have to try for myself.


First: Martha Stewart has instructions for creating your own cake stands out of board and vintage knobs. A recent bride's own recreation of Martha's example:



Second: I discovered tonight that you can easily create your own cake stands by gluing a salad bowl onto a plate!! Why can't I just think up these sort of amazing things on my own? Instructions here.


These are some pretty white porcelain plates I found at Wal Mart. Perfect for a modern Italian cookie display!
